Planned Works Heating Programme

RPS were successful securing a place on the North Tyneside Council Framework in 2019, and subsequent mini competitions during 2020 & 2021.

During the delivery of this programme since 2019 and including predicted installs through to April 2022, RPS will have completed heating installations in 2025 properties. The works took place in social housing dwellings and most properties were occupied at the time of installation.

Work undertaken included gas central heating combination boiler only replacement, conversions of existing heating system from boiler and tank/cylinder to combination boiler and full gas central heating replacements.

This work included the replacement of boilers, pipework, radiators, TRV’s and the completion of associated electrical and minor builders works. We also replaced existing gas fire with new electric fire suites.

During the course of the last three years seen a significant percentage change in the works undertaken, from full heating systems to the now more frequent combi replacements only. This has initially been driven by the Covid 19 pandemic, and the partnership between NTC & RPS undertaking essential works, reducing the time inside properties, reducing both the risk to customers and operatives.

A combination of both Baxi and Ideal boilers with radiator valves and heating controls has been utilised, with the aim to be a 50/50 split installation by property volumes. We have also contributed to North Tyneside’s de-carbonisation policy by the introduction of installing Air source heat pump systems in a number of properties.

Working alongside the Client we have achieved on the programme a KPI score 99.32%, providing evidence of the quality of service RPS Group continually deliver’s to our clients.
